Sunset over Merepoint

Esther Brokaw:

“A view from Merepoint, Maine during sunset.  My husband and I spend many summers on this point and this is one of many attempt of me trying to capture the reflection of a sun setting over the water.  A simplistic subject.  Knowing many artists paint the same thing over and over, I also did this painting in a watercolor later.”

The original painting is 24 x 26”.  Oil on Linen. Created 1993.
